LES VIGNOBLES DE MONTAGNAC - CELLIER SAINT ROCH
DescriptionLocated in the historic centre of the Languedoc, Les Vignobles Montagnac has been producing wine since 1937. The wine cooperative comprises 500 vignerons in 8 communes and 2,000 ha of vineyards.
Les Vignobles Montagnac is bordered to the south by the Etang de Thau, famous for its fine oysters and the Mediterranean Sea, with limestone formations to the north into which the Hérault River has cut deep gorges.
The vineyards extend to the south of Montpellier, on the slopes that dominate the Hérault Valley and Mediterranean coast.
Our wines were once exported to Ancient Rome as evidenced by the initialled seal found on amphorae of the Villa Loupian, whose antique mosaics are on display in a museum at Les Vignobles Montagnac.
The vignerons continue to enhance their ancestral wine-growing heritage and have installed monumental statues in the vineyards and surrounds, to look out for when you visit the winery.
