LA CLAIRETTE D'ADISSAN
Situated in the heart of the Hérault district, Adissan is the birhplace of the Clairette du Languedoc. Produced with only one grape variety, the white Clairette, it was awarded the AOC label as early as 1948. The recent archeological findings tend to prove that this wine has been produced since the Antiquity. Benefitting from a dry and sunny Mediterranean climate, the Adissan terroir developed on Villafranchian (pliocene) flat grounds (terrace), composed of quartz pebbles, flint and limestones. The winery founded in 1928 offers a complete range of clairettes: dry, sweet, rancio and liqueur wine.
