GEOLOGY AND ARCHAEOLOGY EXHIBITION
DescriptionCollections of minerals, fossils and archaeological material discovered in the lower Hérault valley. Cast of a sarcophagus from late antiquity called the "Piquetalen”. The original is exhibited at the Louvre.
There is evidence of a human presence in the area since prehistoric times. Excavations have uncovered many different archaeological finds, in particular an Etruscan tomb from the 6th century BC that is currently on display in the local council chambers.
