DOMAINE CHARTREUSE DE MOUGERES
The vineyard Domain Chartreuse de Mougères stretches over 35 ha, on an unsegmented piece of land, around the monastery established in 1328 by the Dominican Fathers. The upper part of the vineyard forms a plateau bearing the PDO Languedoc label with a surface area of 20 ha. On this plateau are cultivated the traditional grape varieties such as Syrah, black Grenache and Mourvère. This terroir composed of quartz pebbles and gritty clays enables the making of fine red wines where spice aromas are prevailing.
