During your stay, discover aromatic cooking accompanied by fine wines from the Languedoc. Croustades, fish and seafood, sweet onion from Lézignan-la-Cèbe, petit pâté de Pézenas (small mutton pies) or mussels from the Thau lagoon - you will quickly appreciate our gastronomic heritage and the numerous recipes based on local products.

The brasucade of mussels: a tasty idea to share!

For pleasant summer evenings with family or friends, there is nothing better than a “brasucade” of mussels on the barbecue. The word “brasucade” comes from the Occitan regional dialect word “brasacauda", meaning “hot embers”. All you need to do is to cook the shellfish in a large pot over the fire, then once open serve with your choice of sauce: garlic, chilli, olive oil, tomatoes, peppers, onions…it’s up to you to prepare your favourite Mediterranean-style sauce!

With this original itinerary, you will discover local products and meet wine producers and local craftsmen. You will also enjoy the beauty of the countryside, as the circuit suggests stops throughout the Hérault Méditerranée territory.

Explore all the stalls and choose between olives, melons, tomatoes, aubergines, Montagne Noire hams, goats cheese, including the Pélardon, and  other fresh produce. Throughout the year, producers, craftsmen and stall holders invite you to discover their products in the markets and local seasonal product fairs.  Taste the local specialties in a convivial, good natured atmosphere.
