Close to the beaches are unspoiled lagoons, which can be explored with children during a guided visit or photo safari, on foot or by bike. Discover rare bird and animal species, including plovers, ibises, terrapins and Graslin dragonflies.
From cycling and mountain bike trails to fairgrounds and go-karting, there's a huge range of activities for all ages
Vias is home to the biggest fairground in France, a go-kart track with approved lanes for racing, an indoor activity park open all year for younger children, and also an equestrian centre and a fantastic mini-golf course.
With 90km of bike lanes, Vias places great emphasis on cycling!
Located between the Canal du Midi, the sea and the vineyards, the mountain bike tracks are suitable for both keen cyclists and family groups. Get on your bike, and ride for free with local clubs from Spring to Autumn.
On the Canal du Midi, the Works of Libron ("Ouvrages du Libron") are one-of-a-kind
Navigating the Canal du Midi, or walking along its banks, alongside the vineyards... it doesn't get any better than this! In this haven of peace, you can't help but admire the technical nature of the work, designed to allow riverboat traffic along the canal when the Libron floods.
A charming village between the vineyards and the sea
Built between two extinct volcanoes, the village is made of basalt, which emphasises the elegance of the bell tower/keep of the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Church that dominates the village. On the squares, in shaded little streets, share the Vias way of life and take part in heritage events all year round, including musical journeys on the Canal du Midi, vineyard escapes, the Stella Maris and Sant Joan de la Mar medieval festival, Vias en Jazz, "poulain" folk dancing, grape harvest festival and wonderful bike rides.
