Mont St-Loup, a natural protected environment waiting to be discovered
This ancient volcano overlooks Agde and its seaside resorts. Climb to the top of the hill and appreciate the panoramic views of the coast and the countryside.
The last volcano in the Auvergne mountain chain, its history goes back to more than one million years ago. Its altitude of 113 meters provided a strategic position to the semaphore and the Tour des Anglais (17th century) which were used to warn of pirates and English incursions.
Today it is a protected park for nature walks and the discovery of Mediterranean flora.
